Where can I rent an e-bike in Sliema, Malta?
At Los Arditos, 31 St Ignatius Junction, Sliema, a few minutes' walk from Balluta Bay and the seafront. Opening hours: Every day 9:00–12:30 & 15:30–18:00. Your bikes, helmets and locks are ready at your booked time.
How much does it cost to rent an e-bike in Malta?
€20 for a half day and €35 for a full day per e-bike, with lower day rates for longer rentals up to a week. Extras: roadside assistance €10, kids chair €10, phone charger €1/hour. You pay when you collect — nothing is charged online.
Do I need a licence to ride an e-bike in Malta?
No. Our pedal-assist e-bikes (250 W, assisted up to 25 km/h) are classed as bicycles in Malta and the EU — no licence, no registration and no insurance paperwork.
What are the best e-bike routes in Malta?
Our favourites are the South Coast to St Peter's Pool, the North Tour through Mdina, the Dingli Cliffs and Golden Bay, the Valletta Harbour Loop for a relaxed half day, and the Blue Grotto & Ħaġar Qim temples. Can I ride to St Peter's Pool, Mdina or the Dingli Cliffs on an e-bike?
Yes — they are some of our most popular rides. The pedal assist makes Malta's hills comfortable, so the climbs to Mdina and the Dingli Cliffs are part of the fun rather than a struggle.
How far can I go on one battery?
A full charge gives 60–80 km of real-world riding, enough for any of our routes. With the €10 roadside assistance add-on we reach you anywhere on the island if something goes wrong; without it a callout is €40.
Can I take the e-bike on the ferry to Gozo or Valletta?
Yes. The Gozo ferry from Ċirkewwa and the Sliema–Valletta and Valletta–Three Cities harbour ferries all take bicycles, which makes long rides easier to plan.
Are the routes suitable for beginners and kids?
The Valletta Harbour Loop is flat and family-friendly, and kids chairs are available for €10. Children under 12 ride free with an adult.
Can I download the routes to Komoot, Strava or my Garmin?
Yes. Every route page has a GPX download that works with Komoot, Strava, RideWithGPS, Garmin and most cycling apps and bike computers.
Do I need to pay a deposit to book?
No payment is taken online. Send a booking request, we confirm by WhatsApp or email, and you pay when you collect your bikes.
